I am 34 years old, the mother of two. I recently decided to re-enter the dating world, and I had no idea where to start. The internet? Could that really work?

What began was an amusing and sometimes sentimental journey that gave me a lot of insight into the male psyche, the freedom and obstacles of the internet, and myself.

My first waltz down this same path led to a wonderful relationship that ended painfully when our children got in the way. Funny how young ones have that power. But the goal is always to keep them safe and pain-free, and to see if there’s a little happiness in it for me.

This time around, I thought I’d give the rest of the world a peek at the journey, starting here.

In all honesty, I do want to get married, I do want the white picket fence and the storybook ending, and I want to stop making mistakes. But I realize that this is a process, one that starts with high adrenaline and blinders and fucking up schedules and losing sleep, and only if all the stars are aligned does it lead to comfort and joy.
